~I Wanna Sew~ :-)

Good Day today, I had fun. I spent it playing with the
material I managed to salvage, and I transferred all
the food out of the gold cabinet to the cabinets by
the sink, and my material I put into the gold one.. Having
it scattered all over in the kitchen was driving me crazy,
I cant stand having to steady move stuff to get to what
I want.. So.. first order of business was to get a tad more
organized, and I did too.. I worked really hard. Transferring
5 shelves FULL of boxes of mixes and bags of noodles, all
my baking stuff, it was a job and took me quite a while. I'm
pleased with my hard work... :-) Tired, but satisfied, cuz THEN
I got to fold and place the material on the shelves.. There IS
a method to my madness you know.. I wanna SEW :-)
That little red Cosco bench is VERY old.. I bet I sat on that
when I was 10 at least.. so.. its OLD... And you see its RED.. It
does NOT blend in with my blue that I plan to do my kitchen
in.. SO.. I decided to make a cover for it... Turned out really
well.. its not quite done yet as I havent decided if I want to
still put a ruffle around the bottom of the seat, it would look
really cute, but ruffles, unless you have a ruffle attachment,
which this machine doesn't, its called a walking foot.. it will
gather for you so you don't have to do it yourself.. Its not
really hard to do just time consuming.. I havent decided yet
and that's why its not hemmed..
I made a pattern first by using a brown paper bag, usually I
make my patterns out of freezer paper.. Its very durable, I
don't have any so a paper bag will do.. I opened it and put it
up to the back and the seat, traced it around and made a
pattern, then cut the material and sewed the pieces together.
I think its so cute.. Now the red doesn't clash with my blue!
I had the best time making this.. sewing to me is fun, I listen
to the radio and just work away :-) well no its NOT work, to
me its play...I will have Penny take a photo of me by my
machine...I use my elbow to run the foot pedal..works great!

I talked to the boy last night and got some very distressing
news.. Donnie totaled his truck on Wednesday on his way to
work.. Thank God he wasn't hurt at all.. but his beautiful
almost paid off truck is totally gone.. He was very lucky not
to have gotten hurt.. I held my breath while he told me
this until I heard him say he was fine.. Hes had so much on
his plate lately, so much serious stress that I am really
worried about him.. Hes gone to visit his parents this week
end in Wisconsin.. it will do him good to get away.. he needs
to unstress.. but so much going on, with his job again and
his home life, and now his truck.. I worry...

Well, I need to go and make some lunch and clean up the
mess I made out there, I cant sew with out my iron so I
had to dig it out and made a mess getting to it, so now I
have to clean that up.. That's what I mean, if I don't keep
things straight and in order it sure makes extra work for
me..and THAT I don't need :-) Time to post, then eat,
and see what else I need to do before this GORGEOUS
WEEBLE really wears down.. "G'day, G'day".

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS !

~Snow Arrangements~

I called COA today to make arrangements for their snow
shoveler guy to come and shovel for me. I watched Penny
out there yesterday, freezing cold, she hadnt brought a
hat with her, luckily she had gloves.. Penny isnt paid to
shovel snow.. but if she hadnt yesterday with the street
plow covering the end of the driveway she would have
gotten stuck had she drove through it and then what would
we have done? Who would we call? So I decided that I
cant depend on Joes plow guy to come when it needs it..

I KNOW the guy from COA- he did my snow at the little
house. Plus, there are 3 mail boxes out front, yet it seems
I am the only one that's keeping it clean in front of them.
I will move my mail box father away from them so the
mail lady has to stop at mine separately.. I bet she will
bitch about that since she doesn't even bring the mail to
the door like shes sposta when its a box or something..
but I'm not doing the other mailboxes, specially since they
don't even take a turn doing them.. The one box belongs
to the house across the street... I aint doin theirs.. They
have 2 young boys I see all the time playing out in the yard,
they are plenty big enough to shovel.. but I don't see that
they keep even their sidewalk OR steps clear.. Well mine
will be, I like getting mail.. :-) And this isnt Pennys job. So
the COA guy will be coming from now on.. I'm glad.. Penny
is happy too... :-)

Penny came today and we arranged and re arranged. I need
something to put this material in.. a cabinet or something.. we
had thought about taking all the stuff out of the gold cabinet
out there and putting the stuff in the cabinets by the sink.
Only thing is, I wouldn't be able to reach anything out of it..
that's the bad part, or it would be perfect to put my material
and sewing stuff in.. I still might do it but I'm not sure yet..

I still have not gotten the part for my oven. I did get a call
from the repair guys wife, she wanted to tell me that Joe
had decided to just get me a new "refridgerator". I said
"huh?, I'm the one with the stove". She apologized and said
she must have gotten them confused.. She was sposta check
and find out when they will finish fixing this stove but ive
not heard anything.. But I have to call Joe, I have ants ... :-)

I know, always something, but I have killed at least 5 big
black ants, carpenter ants I call them, but could be baby
termites, I don't know. Ive never had this problem before.
I did with tiny little red ants at the apartment, but not
these kind of black ones. How I happened to see it being
as blind as I am :-) I saw the boy, Dutch, just staring at
the ceiling with his no sound meows. All he does is open his
mouth, but no sound; once in a while a faint squeek.. But I
looked to see what he was looking at and knowing when he
acts like that its usually a spider, which I HATE, but it
was a ant.. I got the broom, ya, I can get to the broom now.
Its in the laundry room by the door, not like at the little
house, and smashed the ant.. So, that's on my list for Joe.
This poor man is gonna think I'm a pest :-) but if it is
termites he needs to know.. I don't think it is but I want
the ants gone too! Maybe one of his other tenants have
this problem and he can fix it.. I HOPE! Always something.

Well I have left over chili waiting for me and it was 1000
times better than it smelled let me tell ya.. Was M M
Good.. :-) We, yes, I helped, got a lot done, and I am kinda
wore out.. So its time to post this, then lunch, then maybe
a 5. Sounds good :-) This GORGEOUS WEEBLE says
"G'day, G'day". :-)

~Good Day~

Was a good day today. Penny came since she missed yesterday.
She will be back tomorrow. Shes going to help me cut out some
slippersocks and oven mitts. I have a few friends that have said
they would like to have them, so I am going to send to them.. I
made the bigger pair today since Penny was here so she could
try them on just to see size.. They were at least an inch longer
and of course not as tight.. She liked the smaller size, and she
wears a size 7 shoe.. I am going to make an even smaller size
for little kids.. I had one but, well I cant find it, I'm just glad
I have these two sizes.. It will be easy to make smaller...

I wish you could smell it in here. Smells like chili.. We, yes, I
helped this time, so WE, Penny and I made Chili... its in the
crock pot on low, so tomorrow it will be ready when Penny is
here and that is what we will have for lunch.. It smells great..
I havent had chili in a while and its time... I tried some that
is made by Bush's beans, comes in a small jar, I thought it
might be good.. and was a good size for me.. well.. its NOT
the greatest, I didn't like it at all... Left an undertaste in
my mouth I didn't like... home made is better :-)

I almost tipped my transfer chair over. I know, "be careful".
I back out of the bathroom and there is a bit of a lift right
in the doorway, where the carpet is joined... when I reached
up to grab the door facing and pull my self through it.. my
chair tipped back and if I hadnt been holding on to the door
facing I would have tipped over backwards.. That transfer
chair is so lightweight that just the slightest wrong move
can cause problems.. This isnt the first time and I thought
I had learned the last time that happened.. Its a scarey
feeling thinking I might go over backwards, THEN what
would I do? That would be great.. Trying to get back into
a chair or to get to the phone when I'm stuck in the hall
way.. not good :-)

I noted too that I am not paying close attention to my
little "gas gauge" as I call it.. I got up this morning and
had to get into my manual so I could charge this power
chair or I could have stalled out right in the middle of
the room.. If I lost total power in this, I would HAVE
to get out of it to get over to my manual , THEN figure
a way to get IN that one.. I think it would be easier
getting out.. I got out before kinda easy, unplanned, but,
I FELL out I wasn't getting out deliberately :-) I had been
charging this at night when I go to bed, and the last couple
days I have forgotten.. too much on my mind I guess :-)
But I'm all charged now, well my chair is, I'm slowly UN
charging.. Was another early up day, and I worked hard
so I earned my tired :-) I'm ready to get OUT of this
chair, by choice and onto my bed, NOT the floor :-)

Time to post and clean up my sewing mess and to find a
snack.. Then TV for a while... So... Time for this
GORGEOUS WEEBLE to say "G'day, G'day". :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and thanks!!

~Oven Mitts~

We got some more snow and its been snowing since last
nite.. Penny called and shes stuck so she didn't come
today. Said she will come tomorrow, I hope so I want to
wash some of the salvaged material I have.. I hope it
can be saved.. I think so, she washed some before and
smell came out, so I'm hoping this will too.. I have quite
a bit of material I found,so I can do some sewing.. I'm ready
for it though , its not like I have a ton of other stuff
to do :-) Well NOW I do, I made a really big mess
digging out all this stuff so you know what I am doing
after I post this.. CLEANING :-) well probly eatin too :-)
I made some microwave oven mitts. I sold these at my
shop .. If you look through some catalogs you will see
them for sale there too.. That's where I got the idea to
make them, they put the measurements down so its not
hard to figure out how to make them.. I have to say they
are so much better than using a towel or even regular
hot pads, because they are smaller, theres not a lot of
room in a microwave specially if its a big dish.. So these
little things come in handy plus they are washable too..
Ive made a lot of them, and of course gave the pattern
to my sis and she made them for her craft shows.. like
I did...

I found a new pattern for another pair of slippers I am
anxious to make, I think they will be so cute and useful.. I
was talking to a friend about bags, I told him I had at one
time made cards up with my business name being "The
Bag Lady" .. I can make any kind.. Well this friend wants a
bag to carry all his camera stuff plus extra pockets for
notes or his phone. He contacted a camera place to ask if
they had one or could make one for him to carry all his stuff,
and they didn't and whats more didn't offer to make one for
him.. I told him I can make one and just send the sizes of
the stuff he wants to put in this bag.. They are so easy to
make.. and fun.. I made one bag, that was about 3 inches square,
inside that bag, was another 16 inch tote bag, PLUS a matching
fishermans hat... They were great for summer shopping at flea
markets or anywhere if suddenly you needed a hat for the sun
and a extra bag to carry stuff... I called them my Hat N Sack ...
Sewing is such fun.. I found a piece of red SILK.. 3 guesses
what I'm gonna make otta that!! :-) yup a new red silk skirt..
That's next on the assembly line :-)

I got my angel food yesterday I had forgotten about it.
So, you KNOW what my dinner is today? A nice sirloin
steak with a baked potato... Doesn't that sound good?
This angel food is available in just about every town and
the food is wonderful .. not cheapie stuff. Plus it has
lots of variety of what you can get, the VERY best part
is they take food stamps :-) It says its enough to feed
a family of 4 for a week and it costs 30 dollars.. to feed
a family for a week would cost a lot more than that.. It
lasts me a long time, well it does when I don't share :-)
But how can I not give the kid a nice steak for him to
cook on his grill ... :-)

I'm kinda tired, I got up at 4:30, why, I have NO idea, well,
probly cuz I fell asleep at 7 last nite.. I woke up at 10:30
and just changed positions and went back to sleep :-) So
I am ready to get out of this chair for today, plus I did
a lot too, so I earned my tired for today.. :-) Time to post
and get my stuff finished, so ... its that time again :-)
This GORGEOUS WEEBLE says "g'day, g'day" :-)

~Shoe Bags~

I havent put a photo of the boys here lately so figgured was time :-)
They have it rough .. poor babies :-) Those doilies were made by Penny!
I have had the best time today. I got up about 5:30, full of
energy and ready to go and do something.. So I decided I
would gather all my material that I salvaged and all my
sewing stuff and move it all to the kitchen where I am going
to sew.. It took me quite a while cuz Penny put some away
and I did and to remember, well its like doing a rewind and
well, I forget :-) I think I have most everything in the one
spot in the kitchen and I think it will work out fine.. If per
chance someone should come for dinner, well it wont be
hard to clear off that table :-)
When I was in school all those years ago and living up in
Upper Michigan where there are 2 doors on every house,
one regular one and one on the 2nd floor for when the
snow is deep :-) Back then we all walked to school the
only ones that got rides were the bus kids, being a small
town every one lived with in walking distance.. I walked
every day was about 6 blocks maybe, depending on which
way I went.. down the sidewalk or up the alley... :-) I
walked every day, well except the rainy ones, usually my
dad gave me a ride in the jeep, which I preferred anyway
to the car! ..
We all wore snow boots and carried our shoes.. Some used
paper bags, some just carried them.. Me, I had a shoe bag
that I carried my shoes in.. The shoe store sold them, and
they were the best thing for carrying your shoes.. When I
lived in Houston and went to work every day, of course we
didn't have snow but we sure had our share of RAIN! I was
walking into the building carrying my good high heels that I
was going to wear while I worked and I had a pair of rubber
boots on cuz when it rains in Houston, always be prepared for
wet feet from all the flooding there.. And the street that
my job was on flooded with even just a slight rain storm.. Well
I got out of the car, closed the door and went to walk to the
building when I dropped BOTH my shoes into this huge puddle.
LEATHER shoes now, and a pair of my favs.. I was so MAD!..
I still wore them, I dried them off the best I could but I had
to wear them all day and it was awful.. by the days end they
squeaked.. all day long I vowed this would NOT happen again
because as soon as I got home I was making a shoe bag like
the one I carried years before.. To keep my rubber boots
on would have totally clashed with the outfit I was wearing
that day anyway and THAT was NOT acceptable.. I wore
the wet squeaky shoes :-)

I got home that night and went directly to my sewing room,
I did NOT pass go, I did NOT collect 200.oo I designed a
shoe bag like I remembered I had years ago.. There are
photos of my shoe bag I designed.. It has a zipper closure
and In side is another piece of the same material about a
foot square, enough to put between the shoes to keep them
separate... It works great.. I made a dozen of these and
was at a craft show, a lady came up and bought every one
of the ones left, which they sold really fast, about 4 I think,
but she ordered 10 more for her family and co-workers
that she was "sure" they would appreciate having something
like this bag.. I enjoy designing.. Plus this bag can be used
to put in a suitcase for when you travel rather than a grocery
bag that many use.. Its a good thing :-) ask Martha :-)

I am feeling quite useful again and I am glad.. It makes it
more worthwhile to have a good reason to get up every day.
We all need a "reason"... however big or small it is.. And
now with grands I can sew for.. well this GRAN is most
willing and eager to do it.. Sewing to me is play and most
relaxing, I turn my radio on, have all my stuff right there
and I have a good time.. I put the foot pedal right in front
of where I sew and the palm of my hand pushes it down,
and it works good.. I keep experimenting for a good way
and I will find one .. :-)

Now, I'm gonna go find some lunch and eat, I'm starved.
I will eat this time of day then later about 5 or 6 I have
something light like peaches or something.. I sent Penny
to the store yesterday to get me some more of those
Sara lee cheesecake bites.. They are SO Good- It maybe
is a good thing they were out cuz I probly woulda ate
them in 2 nights too.. Talk about good.. MMMM Try them
they are REALLY tasty.. fattening chair shrinkers, I
know Raife :-) but I don't care.. They was GOOD :-)

Time to eat and then sew for a while then TV and down
for the day... I don't stay online very long past 2 or 3
unless I have a pre arrangement for a chat.. which I don't
mind.. with all the different time zones, most everyone I
know is on a different one, my son is 6 hrs ahead, Blue
in AU is 16 hours WAY ahead.. so I have to plan ahead for
those.. :-) The time has come to write my GORGEOUS
WEEBLE "G'day, G'day". :-)

~Slipper Socks~

There is Penny, my foot model :-) She came in today and
I showed her my slippersocks. She loves them, Dutch how
ever attacked them.. For some reason he didn't like them.
But they fit Penny perfectly and she liked how warm they
kept her feet.. Its like walking around in your socks really
but just warmer and better looking... :-) Look at how mad
Dutch is.. see his ears in that photo? :-)
She watched as I cut them out, then sewed them together
and handed them to her to try on for me.. I told her she
has to.. since shes the only one with feet here :-) From the
time I cut them out and sewed them together took about
half an hour. Doesn't take long, its only 3 pattern pieces.
I designed these my self, its my own pattern. I have it in
2 sizes, since polar fleece does stretch.. I have what I
just made as childs size, then the other I have it as adult,
I guess for a man I could go larger if they have big feet,
like someone I know :-)....
I gave that pair to Penny and told her she can advertise them
for me.. I figure a fair price is 6.00 a pair, you cant buy slippers
in the store for that, I know, we looked and the ones we saw
that I wanted for here to let company use so they can take off
their shoes, the cheapest ugly pair started at 10.oo... Plus mine
are washable.. which is a BIG plus..

Penny said she would like a pair for her grand daughter, so I
told her I can make a matching pair for them that I bet her
grand would like.. Penny agreed.. I am hoping to get some more
polar fleece in animal prints which really look cute... I told
Penny with her pants legs up she looks like an elf :-) She
laughed...

So I did accomplish something today and I am most pleased.
Plus Penny brought out my sewing drawer things and moved
the 2 extra dining chairs into the bedroom so its looking a lot
better.. When I get it all set I will take another photo.. But I
had to show you I DO know how to sew, and I plan to make a
few new SILK skirts .. I do need them you know :-)

What else I need is lunch, Penny cooked some 'springs' as I
call them which is really rotini.. I had sauce in the freezer,
so that worked out well for the springs and that's what my
late lunch is going to be.. I saw they have pork ribs on sale
and I love ribs with sauerkraut.. I havent had that in ages,
and it sure sounds good.. Penny is getting both for me today.
and that may be dinner tomorrow or may be I will wait and
make them when the boy can come over and eat.. Food always
makes you feel better.. Ribs and sauerkraut, specially mine
are one of Donnies favs.. And he needs cheering up..

Time to post and eat lunch and make another pair of slipper
socks.. So that means its time this SEWING GORGEOUS
WEEBLE says "G'day, G'day"... :-)

~Making a Sewing Area~

I got up at 6 and guess what I have been doing all
day so far? Yup, playin in my kitchen and making a
nice sewing area.. I looked over my dining room chairs,
3 are ok, but 1 of them I'm afraid has seen its last
days.. When I was looking over my chairs I noticed
one of them the leg was sawed off.. It wasn't broken
the cut is too smooth.. why the leg would be cut off I
have no idea, but the thing is, it being cut off its still
level..and the other 3 legs are fine! But the way its
cut, its at an angle, the end is like a V . No one I know
has cut this and I KNOW my dad would never level
a chair by cutting it that way ! :-) No one would,, even
me I would never level a chair by cutting it that way,
so how it got cut like that I have NO idea... and its
one of the good chairs.. well 2 out of 3 aint bad .. I
don't expect a lot of company anyway, plus I have 4
card table chairs, but I was surprised to see that
leg cut like that and wonder why I never noticed it
before...
Donnie stepped off my living room as I couldn't find my
tape measure.. he has big feet and they are exactly a
foot long.. my living room from the front door to the
doorway going into the hall is 29 feet long.. The kitchen
is the same.. This is a big place I TOLD YOU!.... It could
easily have been made into 2 bedrooms or at least the
bathroom made bigger. Its quite small compared to the
rest of this place.. Its really great here..

When I sit here and look around at this new house, well
ok apartment, but its really like a house its so private.
I am just so pleased at how nice it is.. Everyone that
comes here compares this to that little house, which was
cute, but just not for me.. It could have been adapted,
but this one, except for the bathroom is really great.
To live in such a nice place just makes me feel better,
like when I get dressed up every day, when I look good,
I feel good.. Its amazing what clothes and your surroundings
can do to influence how you feel.. This place makes me feel
good and I cant say it often enough how grateful I am to
be here.. I cant wait for summer when anytime I want I can
open that door and just go outside all by my self.. THAT will
be a real blessing.. I will enjoy that.. specially if I can get a
little deck made out back and can sit out there like I used
to before.. at the condo with David, in my other life...

My lanai was one of my favorite spots.. I would sit out there
every day, early morning, to listen to the world waking up,
the sounds of the cars and the machinery at the factorys
a block away.. At Sunset was my most favorite time though.
Smell the grass from one of the neighbors cutting it.. or
see the kids riding their bikes down the road. Other than
those sounds that was all I would hear, the factorys had
closed and most of the cars had made that mad dash home
after work.. NOW was the time to wind down and just enjoy
being alive.. That's how it was for me when I sat outside..
and its gonna be that same way again.. I KNOW it... and I
cant wait.. :-)

I had left over meat pie today and it was better than it was
yesterday, The boy went home with out any leftovers which
I was surprised, but I didn't remind him either :-) Not saying
I didn't want him to have any of it but, well I love meat pie
too!. .Was so funny to watch and listen to Donnie eat it.. He
sat on the couch and all he would do to answer me when I
talked to him was nod his head.. and the only sound he made
was MMM MMM MMM... he liked the meat pie.. :-)

Time to eat and finish up in the kitchen before I run out of
steam for today that does happen to me once in a while.. So
while I still have a little get up and go I better Get UP and
GO! :-) First I hafta write my GORGEOUS WEEBLE
"G'day, G'day" cant close this without that... :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? Love ya and THANKS!

~Finding Solutions~

Ive been working in my kitchen today to make a place
where I can sew. I hate when I have to put stuff away,
then drag it back out.. so I want to fix a corner of my
kitchen for sewing. I have come up with some good ideas,
but I cant TRY things here, then move them somewhere
else.. So like with every thing I have to have a plan of
attack.. My main problem, like I was discussing with a
friend about this.. my main problem is that I cant get
close enough to the table so that I don't have to lean
forward and put extra pressure on my stumps... That
is what makes them ache and makes sewing uncomfy...I
will find a solution.

With the arms on my chair, I cant get close enough. So
I thought if I take my manual chair out there, and take
the arms off of it I could transfer, yes, which I don't
really like but, I could get closer to the table with it.. I
could still maneuver anywhere in here since its my other
chair, say if I had to go and get something in the bed
room or somewhere I wouldn't have to get back into my
power chair to do that.. So this might work, but then again,
maybe NOT.. :-)

While I was filling my bobbins I was moving the foot pedal
different places to see what might work for me.. I took it
and I put it on the arm of my chair, and pushed it with
my elbow.. It worked great.. and it still gave me the use of
my hand.. I thought about a on off switch like that lady
said but I don't think I would like that at all.. But I think
putting it on my arm rest will work.. I have some Velcro
and I will make a strap to hold it on there, you know
clumsy me I will steady knock it off if I don't :-) But
I have tried it when I was winding the bobbins, and it
really works good.. So.. that's one thing about using my
manual if I take the arms off I wont have a place for
the foot pedal.. See? Aint nuthing just easy for me..
Joys of chair life :-)

I phoned my boy, he sounds so down in the dumps, I
feel really bad for him hes going thru some seriously
hard times and I sure wish I could help him.. I asked
if he had anything planned for today and he said no,
so I invited him over and he will be here a little later
on. I am going to make a meat pie to surprise him and
hopefullly that will make him feel better.. He knows I
love him dearly and will do what ever I can to help..
But hes the one that will have to do it.. I cant fix his
problems.. only help... It will all work out I have faith
in him... hes a good man..

Well I am off to play with my machine some more, I
dug out all the quilting stuff I have salvaged and I
have 3 quilts all set and just need sewn together.. I
might start on one.. So until tomorrow this GRATEFUL
for her sewing machine GORGEOUS WEEBLE, says
"G'day, G'day"...

~ A Great Gift~

I got a great birthday gift with the help of a dear friend.
A new sewing machine. Isnt it great? I love it.. and
of course I have already sewn with it.. I am so pleased
to have it and have started to figure out a way to move
my kitchen around so I can make a nice sewing area.
As big as my kitchen is I would have lots of room.. I
have my chairs out there that match my table, and they
are just not any good and I think to repair them would
be too costly. So I think I will just get rid of them. They
are NOT safe to sit on at all..the glue has gone and they
are falling apart.. They have been bad for a long time..
and being in the basement for the past 2 years didn't
help them and made them worse..

When I was with David I had my table and chairs in the
kitchen and I knew which ones were not trustworthy
to sit on, some how David moved them around- when his
brother came over he gave the wrong one to Mark
to sit on.. It was ok for a while.. then all of a sudden we
hear this LOUD CRAAACCKKKKK.. and saw Mark hit
the floor, the chair had totally fallen apart.. We all
laughed, Mark didn't hurt himself and I told Mark
his brother gave him that chair deliberately so we
could watch him hit the floor :-) We all needed a
good laugh :-) he wasn't really pleased with that..
But it was funny :-)

I did that once my self.. not with these dining room
chairs though.. I was in my house in Elkhart and I
had these bucket chairs on coasters that rolled
around.. I had a huge fish tank in the kitchen, that
was by my chair.. I loved to sit there and watch the
fish.. I had all kinds, my favorites were the black
molleys, they had babies as often as guppies.. Which
was fun to watch.. well not when the big fish ate them
tho. :-(....

I was sitting there leaning to one side to see the far
side of the tank because one of the fish had babies
and I wanted to see where they were hiding and maybe
I could save some of them before they got eaten.. Well,
I'm leaning WAYYYYY over the arm of the chair.. I didn't
take the time to MOVE the chair closer.. Willie now, is
sitting in the living room watching TV.. The next thing I
know is I'm hitting the floor looking up at Willie.. He has
this look of total AWE on his face as he laughs at me
and says "WHAT the HELL are you DOING?" I laughed
and told him "Looking for fish". :-) I didn't break any
thing but I sure felt stupid.. :-) We both laughed... The
look on Willies face was priceless but he said the same
thing about the confused look on MINE!! :-)

Penny came today and we washed up some of the material
that was in the basement and some the smell didn't come
out.. but some, the smell is gone.. I'm pleased.. I already
have some quilt tops ready to put together from before
and I may work on them .. I am so pleased to be able to
sew again.. Time to post and eat lunch.. and SEW ! :-)
This GRATEFUL GORGEOUS WEEBLE says "g'day, g'day".

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and thanks !

~Icicles~

I was looking out the side windows in the kitchen,
where I can see the other side of this duplex. Its a
L shaped one and I have the flat bottom part of the L.
The other part is 2 bedrooms.. I took a photo to show
the icicles that are hanging over there and probly what
the ones on my side looked like from outside. I should
have had Penny take a photo from outside. But you see
they go from the roof edge all the way to the ground..

I see some icicles hanging from some other houses but
not to the ground like here.. I do plan to mention it to
Joe.. Ive still not heard from Joe or Carl as to when
they plan to do the bathroom door.. Soon I hope, but I
guess this weather doesn't help.. I sure don't want them
cutting wood in here.. I would go nutz with the mess
THAT would make.. and if its not a day when Penny comes,
well that would NOT be good at all.. You Know me I would
Still try to clean it up.. And for me to get out that beast
of a vacuum cleaner, well it beats ME up! Wears me out..
But I sure will be glad when its done.. then its one, well
ok 9 less transfers a day for me.. No, I don't potty that
much but.. if I drink too much coffee.. well.. then it could
be that many times :-)
While I was in the kitchen of course I had to raise the
blind for the boy, If I don't he will crawl right thru it
and the slats on a mini blind being plastic, well, he breaks
them.. So I opened it and while I was looking at the icicles
I heard Dutch start to squeek and meow. I looked out the
window too and saw a whole bunch of HUGE black birds
out in the drive way.. He scared them so I only got a photo
of one of them.. I think they are Ravens.. just huge birds..

My ex father in law, David's dad, Norm.. always wanted a
pet blackbird, because they say you can teach them to talk.
They are very smart birds.. He never did get one but he had
a few wild ones that would come right up to him.. He had a
nice deck on the back of his house and he would put food
there for them and sit and wait for them to come and eat.
Gradually as the days went by, he moved closer and closer
to the bird food.. Soon he was hand feeding these huge
birds.. Crows I guess they really are.. Raven just sounds more
better than crow... He had a good time with those birds..

I forgot to phone R & R this morning, I didn't remember till
I started to write this.. So, needless to say, I am posting
this and going to phone R & R.. I still would rather my son
come and fix this chair ..but hes a tad far away :-) So hope
fully the supply place can.. I HOPE I don't have to get a
doctors permit for this too.. :-) Time to post and eat lunch.
I froze some spaghetti sauce and I have some linguini pasta
and that's my dinner today.. This GORGEOUS WEEBLE
wishes you a "g'day , g'day"... :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and Thanks!

~Was a Great Day~

What a great birthday yesterday. It was one of the
best Ive had. I got so many cards in the mail the mail
was all in a bundle with a rubber band around them. I
was most pleased... Thank you so much.. Even though I
didn't get the cards till today still made yesterday a
good day.. I was sitting watching TV seeing what the
first lady wore for her evening gown.. I wasn't very
impressed.. She could have done better I think.. But
anyway, while I was watching this, my phone rang and
it was my SON!, Richard. NOW, how great is that to
hear from BOTH of my boys on my birthday.. THAT
made it so very special..

He and I had a wonderful talk and they are all fine.
Said he was enjoying his Christmas present of a 42
inch TV.. THAT has to be like being at the movies.. I
bet I could read the info on that :-) I cant on my 19.
When I want to see what it is I'm watching if I click
on the info button it shows on the screen but its so
small, unless I am right up next to it.. I cant read it.
It was so good to talk to him.. Hes very nice and I
told him about the trouble I'm having with my joy
stick or what ever you call it.. that swings away to
the side...

Mine is on the right side, and I have run into things
so hard its bent up.. and maybe that's what makes
it so loose. But if I go to push the little stick up
thing to the right, just the slightest pressure will
make that swing away joystick arm go off to the
side..and then.. BOOM!~ I run into the door facing
or wall or what ever.. He said it can be fixed.. I
wish he would come here and fix it for me.. :-) I
will call R & R and see what I have to do to get it
checked out.. but for safety reasons AND to save
the wear and tear on these doorways It needs
to be looked at.. :-)

I have decided to re arrange things in my bedroom
AND in here AND in the kitchen.. My kitchen is so
huge, I am going to make this wall here by the hall
door that corner I am going to make into a sewing
area.. I think it would work out fine.. I want to move
this computer desk down by the windows in the corner
and I want to move the dresser in the bedroom over
by the wardrobe and put the TV on it.. THEN move
the bed up into the corner and it would put it by 2
walls in there, something like I had it at the apartment.
A wall on 2 sides is easier for me.. I am not sure if
Penny and I can move this desk, but I know I can, just
my self, move the stuff in the bedroom, IF I take the
drawers out of the dresser and I could move the bakers
rack in the kitchen IF I take the stuff off of it.. This
power chair is very powerful.. and if I push just right
with it I can move most anything and its not ME doing
it I'm just driving my chair, and using its power.. But I
think it would be a lot better in here... I knew it would
take awhile to get things where I want them . :-)

Where I want to be right now is out in the kitchen having
my late lunch.. I got the rest of the quarters for my
collection and I want to put them into the book too.. So,
I need to post this and go EAT... You know what comes
now... Oh, first, Mary... my dear special friend.. you are
SO sweet.. Thank you for the lovely and FUNNY cards!
One she sent said "Know what your getting for your
birthday?".. Inside it said... "OLDER"! :-D I laughed..
Thanks Mary... :-) NOW my GORGEOUS WEEBLE
"G'day, G'day".... :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS!
