~Nurse Day~

While I'm sitting here waiting for

my nurse I looked at the time and

realized its time to write this post!

I don't have any other plans for to

day other than to see the nurse, the

rest of the day is mine. It will be a

early day though, and I'm gonna go

take a 5 after she leaves. I woke up

at 4:45 and have been up since, I'm

kinda tired.

Penny went outside and took some

pictures for me of the lillies on the

side of the house here by the kitchen.

I wish they had planted these on the

other side of the house, theyre so

pretty and last quite a long time. I

keep my curtain open so I can see them.
I looked out the front door this morning,

and to my surprise I saw little yellow

flags all over the front yard! I know they

are from miss dig, but I didn't call them.

I got concerned cuz theyre usually put in

a yard if its gonna be dug up! I emailed

my landlord and he knew nothing about it.
I saw Steve outside with his dogs and

asked him what they were out there for,

he said cuz theyre gonna put a fiber

optic thingy in the ground for the schools.

They wont be digging tho..
While I was looking I noticed a Lilly in

front and some other flowers that are

getting ready to bloom, I don't know

what kind they are though. A Lilly too

I think.
My nurse has arrived and I gotta go,

tomorrow Penny is gonna pick the

tomatoes, they look so good I cant

wait to have a tomato sandwich :-)

~New Caseworker~

Bailey is growing..

Been a busy day today. I have a new

social worker from Southern Care, I

forgot her name, but shes very nice.

She comes once a month.
Plus Penny is here, got us all clean. I

was pretty good and didn't make any

major messes. The boys were good too.

I didn't show up here yesterday but I

have good excuse, I was watching the

birds and cats and taking photos. I

downloaded 112 photos., I am so bad.
I sit here at the back door with my

camera right next to me just in case

I see something I need to take a photo

of, and I sure musta saw a lot yesterday

to take that many photos! :-)
That little bird made me laugh, she tried

so hard to get that stick into the house.

It was such a big stick I'm surprised that

little bird could fly carrying it! She was

determined to get it in there, after quite

awhile of trying she left it outside.. :-)

I found out I have a cousin, David that lives

in Battle Creek! I was so glad to find that

out.. Hes interested in our family history

just like I am.. Its amazing how many relatives

there are!.. I'm so glad that I have my family

tree - my grandfather put together, it

took him 20 years and its got to be 4 feet

long. Its quite detailed and goes back all

the way to when our ancestors came over on

one of the boats that sailed with Christopher

Columbus. One of our ancestors testified at

a witchcraft trial even.. I have to read it with

a magnifying glass the print is so small.. I'm

hoping David will come for a visit.

Well I'm gonna close this for today and enjoy

my open door while I can.. Its gonna get hot

out and I will have to close it later, so I try

to sit there every chance I get...

~Lotsa Work Today~

Busy day today for Penny. I warned her

when she came in the door that I had been

a real slop over the weekend, dragging out

stuff and not putting it away. I wasn't sure

where my printer paper was and went thru

my dresser in the bedroom where we keep

it.. well, by doing that I saw stuff I hadnt seen

in a while and naturally had to look at it, thus

causing a mess, cuz by the time I was done

plundering my arms were give out and I didn't

have enuff strength to clean up my mess! I'm

awful I know.. I'm just most grateful that Penny

understands and doesn't mind cleaning up

after me. :-)
Adolph
Dinky, the 2 look alot alike, both being black and white

I'm feeling pretty good today even though we

are gonna get rain, I can tell. When my right

stump stays asleep constantly its telling me

RAIN!!! :-) I got a new BP machine, but I

think its not right, ive taken my pressure at

least 4 times and it stays the same, 135/85.

That reading stays on the machine, I don't

remember my other one doing that, I thought

the screen went blank when it was shut off.
I will ask the nurse when she comes on Thurs.
We had major dilemma this morning, a cat

fight. There is a new cat, Ive named him

Adolph, when you look at the photo you can

tell why, he looks like he has a mustache..:-)

Well Dinky came by for breakfast and he saw

Adolph hiding in the peonies and he was MAD.

I could hear him growling even with the door

closed! I hurried into the living room to see if

I could see more and bang on the window to

stop the fight I knew was coming..
Dinky was stalking, his ears were back on his

head and he was making slow deliberate

steps towards Adolph.. Adolph was headed

home, back across to his house as Dinky

watched. Then Adolph stopped, turned

around and LAID in the yard, I guess he

figgered Dinky wasn't serious and waited

till he was almost up to him.
Dinky says "WHAT?! Hes in MY yard!" :-)

He finally realized just how mad Dinky was

that this cat would invade HIS domain!
Adolph jumped up and RAN back home.

Dinky followed, I guess just to make sure

he knew not to come over here..

Dinky never goes across over there,

but he did today, ive never seen him go

across the road,which I'm glad, when I

see these cats on or by that road I get

nervous. Cars around here go too fast

and they wouldn't have a chance. Dinky

came back and finished his breakfast. :-)

Well I'm done for today, I'm hungry and

have some puter work to do, ill tell you

tomorrow about it..I'm excited about it. I

found out I have a distant cousin, I think,

that only lives 30 miles from me in Battle

Creek! David. I will finish the story tomorrow.

~Off Yesterday~

New Kittie, no name YET~!

Sorry for not showing up yesterday but I

took a lazy day. I didn't do anything all

day but eat. Well not ALL day did I eat,

only 2 times... :-) Penny made some

sandwich spread and made a fresh loaf

of bread, let me tell you, it WAS SOOO

good! I think Penny makes it better each

time she makes it.
Earie, sore leg.
Dinkys mad at Earie...

There is a new kittie. Hes so pretty and a

good size one. He wont go away from the

garage, he goes in there. When I see him

sitting out there and I open my kitchen

door, hes gone in a flash. Hes a pretty

cat and doesn't look underfed like Dinky

and Earie. Earies foot is still bad and he

holds it up, not walking on it at all..Poor

thing. I did get to touch his head but he

growled and hissed at me. But when he

sees the door open, or me in the doorway

he will come running. All of these cats

fight, they don't get along with each other

at all.. I thought Dinky was pretty easy

going, but Earie came up to the door this

morning while Dinky was there and he

started to growl and walk around Earie

like he was stalking him.. I wish they got

along.

They are all so pretty. I'm calling

Penny later today to remind her to bring

some cat worming stuff and some more

cat food. She will be here tomorrow. Her

kitties are doing really good, she had to

bring them in and she said she has kitties

everywhere! For a cat to have 6 babies

seems a lot, I cant wait for her to bring

one. I want the white one, she is so pretty,

but to go thru a new kittie, its not easy, I

have to have them neutered and we don't

know if its a male or female yet. I just don't

think Dutch will allow a new cat. He hates

the ones outside. When I get my deck and

can sit out there with the kitties, I bet Dutch

will be a total brat when I come in. Hes so

bad even if I have company. He will sit on

my desk and knock everything off, then give

me a look as if to say, DONT IGNORE ME,

hes rotten.. My sis laughs at him when he

does that and it makes him madder.
redening tomatoe...

My tomatoes are turning! I dunno if I should

wait and let it get red or what. There are a lot

of tomatoes, Penny counted 11, so I could let

this one ripen and have one of the others to

fry up. Decisions, decisions... My sunflowers

are getting really big, but something is eating

the leaves.

I feel pretty good today and I havent put those

patches on yet. They are on for 12 hours and

off for 12, so I have to watch what time I put

them on, I don't wanna have to mess with them

during the night. Theyre libroderm patches. Ive

never had them before so I don't know what to

expect.

Ok I'm done for today, I'm hungry and I think I'm

gonna make some brats, I love those things, wish

I had a grill to cook them on.. Once I get my deck

I may think about getting one of those.. Color me

a gone GORGEOUS WEEBLE for today, feel like

writing to me, please don't hesitate, I love to get

~Nurse Visit~

My new nurse came yesterday and I know

her name, but to spell it here wouldn't work.

I have NO idea how to spell it. She didn't

come yesterday until 1:45 and I was a tad

upset. I called her office at 1 to find out

what the problem was and why I had not

heard from her. I don't like visits after 1.

I politely informed her when she got here.
She brought some new pills that I am to

take if my pressure goes over 150/90. I

also got a blood pressure machine so I

can take it when I feel that its high. She

brought some pain patch things for my

stumps too, I don't recall the name of

them. I put them on for 12 hours then

off for 12. Sposta help with the phantoms,

so I hope they do..
Its raining again today and it did yesterday

too, I'm sick of rain. Penny is here and got

us all clean and ready for the week end.

I feel pretty good today despite the rain.

We are having pasta roni today. I love

that stuff... My tomatoes are growing !

Soon I will eat them...

~Doctor Was Here~

Lilly outside my window

Dr. Hyde came yesterday, and I am ok.

My BP was even almost normal. He did

ask me if I smoke, I told him no and that

I hadnt for years. He acted like he didn't

believe me, cuz he said he smelled smoke

in MY house! That kinda upset me. I don't

lie and specially not to my doctor and that

he would act like he thought I was lying I

didn't like at all. Plus NO ONE smokes in

here, Penny smokes but she goes outside,

she doesn't smoke in here. I don't know

where or HOW he smelled it. I don't like

it that he thinks I would lie to him. When

my nurse comes tomorrow I am going to

mention it to her.
The nurse, with him,whom I don't like, she

has a crap attitude, not friendly at all..drew my

blood. She stuck me 3 times and couldn't

get anything. Then Dr pulls up a chair in

front of me, takes my right arm, nurse used

my left, and sticks me 2 times. He found a

vein by my thumb and finally got some

blood.. I cringe when they tell me theyre

gonna draw blood. I have bruises today

and the spots they picked are really sore.

We had some bad weather last night, with

tornados and all.. Not here but in Battle

Creek they did. It rained and some really

bad lightening is all we got. Today, right

now its sunny but cloudy and we are under

the gun again for storms with damaging

winds... Joys of summer.

3 little birds were out on Birdies duplex. They

stayed out there for quite awhile checking it

out. I noticed the robin is still out there off

and on sitting on the roof. I enjoy watching

these critters and taking their pictures..

Almost lunch time and I'm kinda hungry. I

didn't sleep worth a crap last night in fact

I was playing spider solitare at 2:30 this

morning. I hate when I cant sleep. I'm gonna

go eat and publish this, I'm still a GORGEOUS
WEEBLE, keep well and God Bless...

~Birds n Cats In The Rain~

baby says Feed ME!!!

Wonderfully rainy day today and the
birds and cats seem to care. Earie is

over by the house across the yard,

and Graybelle is under the peonies.

I counted 15 blackbirds outside and

hummer was drinking his juice. It

was raining really hard with thunder

and all, but these animals don't care.

Its sposta rain most of the day with

some of it serious, according to the

radio, but here in Michigan, the best

way to tell the weather is to look out

the window.. :-)
Ambers baby boy is here and he is

a Cutie. I don't know how much he

weighed in at tho. His name is

Elijah Parker. Where they got his

name from I have no idea and ive

not talked to Donnie to ask him, I

will if he phones.
My Drs office phoned to tell me that

he will be here tomorrow,hopefully

in the morning. I think Travis comes

tomorrow too, not sure, if he phones

in the morning I will know. Its gonna

be a busy week..

Penny is making some pineapple

cookies for me today. Its my moms

recipe and they are so good. You very

seldom hear of pineapple cookies. This

was one of my moms favorites.. She

loved to bake and always had at least

2 or 3 kinds of home made cookies, just

in case company dropped by. She never

bought store cookies ever.At least I don't

ever remember that, or store bread. Mom

was a wonderful cook, and her lemon pie

was totally awesome and my dads favorite.

I'm gonna close this for today and eat some

lunch and go and take a nap. I have a bad

headache which tells me my pressure is up,

so maybe a nap will help. In the meantime I

am still a GORGEOUS WEEBLE.. Keep

~Thanks Dad~

There was a time when dads day upset

me and I didn't want to think about it. I

guess you could say I was a "Daddys

Girl" . My dad was a very special man.

He was loving and kind and taught me

well. I didn't know when he was teaching

me about life and living, back when I

was young, that the lessons he taught

me would help me as much as they do,

even to this day. To my dad, right was

right, wrong was wrong, and that is one

of his teachings that I hold to, to this day.
He taught me how to care and love people.
To always show respect to others and when

I did that, I would get the same in return. I

think I owe my ability to accept what life

gives me, to him. He taught me that perhaps

things would not be as I wanted but to wait

and have patience, trust in the Lord and I

would survive. That has served me well.
I truly believe if my dad hadnt taken the

time to teach me that I wouldn't have even

made it as long as I have, and most

certainly not accepted and gotten on with

my life when I lost my legs. Dads motto

was always look to the bright side, there

is good in everything if you look hard

enough.

Losing both legs, of course, is not a

great thing to happen to anyone, but I

think if I hadnt had my dads teaching I

wouldn't look to the bright side of this.

Look at all the new wonderful friends ive

come to know, I would never have gotten

them if I hadnt lost my legs. This has

increased my faith, I trust in the Lord to

lead me where I need to go and what I

have to do. I think that in some ways I

have inspired others, that being a amputee

is not the end of their world, that life goes

on and its up to each of us to make our

world what WE want and need it to be,

and it can be done. Nothing in life is easy

but if we try, we can do it. I say "thanks

Dad".....

I have no plans for today other than to

make some lunch. I feel pretty good, no

headache today for this GORGEOUS
WEEBLE, and trust me I am MOST

grateful.. Happy Dad's day, keep well

~High Pressure Again~

Birdie hasnt been out on the duplex for

awhile, but I miss seeing that little bird.

I hope, where ever he is, that hes ok.

Hummer is here every day and I think

he deliberately poses for me. He will

even hover right in front of me..the

female is out there a lot too.
Heidi, my nurse, was here yesterday.

She had another nurse with her. I

guess from what she says she is

being moved to another area and

wont be coming here any more. I

really liked her. This new nurse, her

name is Vanessa, will start next

week. Shes very nice.

Heidi did all her routine checks and

my blood pressure is extremely high

again. She is worried as its been this

way for 3 weeks now. It was 154/112

yesterday, which is not good. She is

going to talk to the Dr and see about

getting another pill for me to take when

my pressure is up. I can tell I get a

bad headache. Shes also going to get

me a blood pressure machine. I had

one but it broke. That way I can keep

a check on it. Always something. I

hope its down when my doctor comes

on Tuesday.

I have no plans today other than to un

stress. This month just seems to be

dragging. These 5 week months just

kill me. I end up with more month than

money :-) THAT is NOT good :-) Its a

nice day and hopefully no rain. Penny

got us all clean and prepped for the

week end, so we are good to go..

~Up Too Early~

Dutch

I got up at 5:15 this morning, wide

awake, the cats didn't wake me up

either.. Ive been having some really

bad dreams and that may be why I

woke up. I laid there for quite awhile

trying to go back to sleep but no such

luck. Its 10:30 now, and needless to

say I am tired. My jaw is sore from

yawning too much even ! :-)

Heidi is due today, but ive not heard

from her yet to know what time she's

comin. She usually comes around 1

or so, hopefully she will be early today

so I can take a nap.

Rebecca was here with a guy from CMH

that is going with her on her visits. He

seemed nice. She didn't stay long, her

visits arent very long, she just comes to

see how I'm doing. Dutch of course hates

company and shows himself, he sat on

my desk and knocked everything off. He

does that when ever someone is here.

Hes such a brat. LB came out to see

who the new person was and he worried

me cuz his ears went back and he didn't

look too happy to meet this new guy. He

Its a nice cool day and I wish it would be

like this all summer. My ac doesn't come

on, and I'm glad. Its kinda rainy and cloudy

looking but not bad. I hope it doesn't rain

cuz its the week end for the river festival

in three rivers, its a big do and lots of

people go.

I'm having left over tuna and noodles. Its

even better the next day. I'm a tired but still

~Doctor Day~

Earie, Dinky and Graybelle

Its almost noon on a rainy Wednesday,

and I'm waiting for Dr. Hyde to get here.

I don't know what time hes coming but

I hope pretty soon. I hate afternoon

appointments. I feel ok so I doubt

the Dr will find anything. I HOPE

they don't draw blood. I hate that

too...
Sunflowers are growing! Hummers there too...

Birdie hasnt been on his house for

days, I hope hes ok. I saw a female

on the other house going in and out,

she didn't go over to the duplex, and

that piece of grass is still sticking out

of it.
The outside kitties were having fun

with Penny this morning.. Earie,

Graybelle, Dinky and Tigger. Dinky

is so skinny and Earies leg is still

bothering him... I wish there was

more I could do for these animals.

Penny is enjoying her babies. I'm so

jealous, I wish I had them here. I want

that white one so bad, but I just worry

of what Dutch would do to it.

Were having tuna noodle casserole again

today, I love that stuff and its good for me

fish is good for you. :-) Gotta eat before

the doc gets here, I'm still a GORGEOUS
