~Gail Day~

Gail is on her way here so I only have a few minutes

to ifnd something to write about today..,. Other than

Gail coming I have no plans but to work on this

kitchen. Its just too cluttered and Its driving me nutty

seeing stuff every where. A lot of it is stuff, crafty

stuff, that I don't plan to use or make something

with it. I will get back to that after Gail leaves.

I don't think Gail will find any problems. My blood

pressure has been ok- for me that is.. I still have

that rash but I think it will be a never ending thing.

I think if I lost some weight might help :-) but with

Christmas coming you KNOW I'm gonna lose

weight... I think that's one of the rules of the

holidays, you have to eat and havta gain weight.

You only get Christmas food then .. so. you gotta

eat it,you've been waiting a year! So... EAT :-)

~Mon Day~

Its a typical Monday, Penny didn't have it too bad, we

were pretty clean this week end. She had a birthday

party for her grand daughter on Saturday and she

brought her camera with the pictures on it so I could

see her grands. She has 5 grand children.
Mrs. Cardinal paid a visit !

Ive been going thru stuff and getting rid of a lot. I have

no need for it and its stuff I don't think I will use. When

I was in the hell home my sister brought me this HUGE

can that was full of beads. She brought some elastic

and I proceeded to make bracelets out of them..They

were quite pretty, in fact I still have some that I do wear!

I made bracelets at night when we all had to be settled

down in our rooms after dinner. It gave me some thing

to do, plus the dear ladies loved them.. When I would

be up and dressed for the day I would put on quite a

few of the bracelets on each arm. When I ran into one

of the ladies, they ALL noticed them. Women, no

matter what age, love jewelry. These dearies sure

did.

I would hold out my arms and let the ladies pick which

one they wanted, then give it to them. Just a tiny bracelet

made of plastic beads and they acted like they were

made of diamonds.. I enjoyed doing that, sure made

some of them happy and being in that place we ALL

needed every bit of happy we could get.

I gave Penny that big can of beads and I bet I know 3

little girls and a gramma that are gonna have fun!

It should keep them busy for a while and I bet the

girls will LOVE trips to gramma's now! :-)

Still no baby.;. 1 week late. :-) we are all patiently

waiting. Every time my phone rings I think it might

be Donnie saying baby is here... When shes ready

she'll be here..

In the meantime, I'm posting this and gonna see

what Penny has for lunch. I'm still a GORGEOUS
WEEBLE and,, I KNOW your're glad..guess what?

~The Black Dog~

A few days ago I mentioned that there were some

loose dogs, 3 of them. The past while only the black

lab ive seen but alone. Hes out just about every day.

I heard barking this morning while I was feeding the

cats, so I looked up and I had to smile.. I found out

why only the black lab was loose.
Look at the top photo, see behind the birdseed

stand is a brown fence, then look at the photo

right above here and see the fence? See the

black spot? Its the black dog; I caught him between

jumps. That's why HE's the only one loose. The

chocolate is probly too scared, and the mom

doesn't really care. :-) I had to smile, smart dog.
When I lived on Thomas Street in Pasadena, TX

I had a black lab, plus Brandy and Little Girl and

Bozo.. Little Girl and Bozo were Brandys puppies.

I eventually gave Bozo away. My lab was smart

and loved the puppies.; I have never been really

the greatest in naming pets. And my lab, bless

his heart I named him Black Dog... :-) Well, , he

was and when I called him I never worried some

one or thing else would come ! :-)

Ive been trying to get up some energy so I can get

some things done. I need and want to clean up

my kitchen. Its too cluttery.. I need a make over.

I dunno what I'm gonna cook today, I will raid the

freezer and I'll find something, I always do..l hope

your having a nice week end. I'm still a GORGEOUS

WEEBLE, aint ya glad? and.. I will be back! :-)

~Nice Station~

I found the nicest Radio station, 101.5 fm..its playing

all Christmas songs! I sure enjoy it. I like the oldies

music. I listen to some of these younger singers and

frankly I don't see a lot of talent. Most of the young

women singers now depend on sexual content to

be popular. The way some of them parade around

and touch themselves, and cant carry a tune! Its like

almost every movie they make, it has a sexual

scene in it. Myself, seeing 2 people getting it on

doesn't make a movie.. Not to me anyway... Sex

is a part of life and living but to flaunt it the way

some do, I think its a private thing, a good thing

yes, but private. Years ago they thought Elvis

Presley was awful, Jane Russell in a movie had

a blouse on that showed her breast, it was considered\

horrible and pornographic.. Look at what its gone

to now.. its sad in a way... where have the morals

gone....

Ive been watching TV and some of the shows on

Bullying. I know what its like. I went through it..I

had a flaw on my face.. my butterfly...yet the other

kids taunted and made fun of me..said my face

was dirty... I understand how these kids suffer...I

became a loner, I had very few close friends in

school...

Theres a dad up on charges for getting on his

daughters school bus and telling, no warning

these hateful kids about bullying his daughter!
Scared hell out of those kids....they all were

more afraid of that dad than they were the school

officials..I commend him.I think every parent of a

bullied ch ild should do that for their child...It helps

more to get it into the kids heads that bullying is

a bad thing! Some of the stuff I hear that goes on

in schools is sad.. One school here in Michigan

has asked the kids to bring their own toilet paper!

That's sad...

Well I have stuff I wanna try to do.. Dinky was here

waiting for me.. Hes such a beautiful cat. I'm kinda

hungry and might finish my turkey dinner Penny

brought yesterday.. But.. I'm still a GORGEOUS

WEEBLE and I'll be back !

~Cold Flurries~

Its snow flurring outside and its cold. The flakes

are nice big fluffy ones and just float down.. Only

Dinky showed up for breakfast then he left right

away, I hope he has a nice warm spot, he didn't

go in the cathouse. I wish he would have. He is

such a beautiful cat.

Penny came today and got us all straight and

ready for the weekend. She brought a plate

of food from her dinner yesterday AND a

pumpkin pie. I will eat good this weekend!

Well my head went totally empty and I cant

think of anything interesting to write about..

So I think I will post this and have lunch, I

dunno what. I'm still a most GORGEOUS
WEEBLE and I'll be back ! :-) Oh, happy

~Happy Thanksgiving~

I hope you are having a nice Thanksgiving. We, especially

me have a lot to be thankful for.. Some days Its just hard

to see all that you DO have, to be thankful for, specially

when things arent going along smoothly, its hard to see

the good things but theyre there.

Ive gotten a couple phone calls from dear friends and

its so nice to be thought of.. I may not have company

in person, but between this computer and my phone,

I'm never really alone! :-)

I gave the boys, Dinky and Fuzz a nice breakfast since

its a holiday. I didn't give LB or Dutch anything special

they get treats every single day. After I give them fresh

food, can, then I wait a short while, THEN I have to go

into the living room and give the boys treats. They each

have a piece of paper on the floor and I put a few on

each of them for the cats. Its a daily routine and if I'm

too late Dutch will come up to me whining and wont\

stop till I go in there.. They have me trained I think...

They both know I cant stand it when they meow, meow

for no reason other than to drive me nuts... :-)


I'm gonna fix some lunch, what, I dunno.I'm not really

hungry and Rebecca said she will be by later with a

plate. so, its post time right now, I'm still a MOST
GORGEOUS WEEBLE, and I'll be back!

~Dark and Damp~

Its a dark dismal and cool day. I hope it stays ok for

all those people that are on the road travelling to

family and friends... I'm not going anywhere, and I

have no plans. Penny is here today and she was

telling me all she was making for dinner tomorrow.

Turkey with all the trimmings. Shes a great cook

so you know its gonna be good...She said she

will bring me a plate Friday when she comes.

I think Penny got the right kind of bird seed this time

the birds have been here in swarms! I'm so pleased

to see that! Woodie has been here every day and

this morning I watched 2 of the blue jays get into a

big fight. It was interesting to watch.. I enjoy all the

birds.I want to get some peanuts for the squirrel..

Its lunch and post time and I need to get on the ball.

~Gail Came Today~

Gail came today and I am ok.. my blood pressure is

good. That rash I had is back with a vengeance, I did

show it to Gail.. shes gonna talk to the Dr about

trying something new that may work better....Gail

just Left is why I am late posting this. Shes a good

nurse, very helpful.

I have no plans for today, I want to work on the blankets

for baby but my arms just wont let me. They give out and

I cant do anything. I wish I could get these done..Ive not

heard anything, so I am guessing baby is not here yet.

Penny made a few pairs of baby booties , shes very

talented.

Other than that I'm doing ok, I have no plans for turkey

day but Penny will bring me a plate on Friday. My sis

phoned yesterday, we had a nice talk and she is doing

good.. Shes not allowed to drive yet so she is very

anxious and ready to go. They put in a pacemaker so

hopefully this will help.. Stanley is taking VERY good

care of her, but then I had no doubts that he would.

Time for lunch and to post this for today. I am still a

~Dinky House~

Rainy day today but not real cold. Dinky and Graybelle

are both here. Dinky finally has gone into the cat house.

Penny had to entice him in there by putting a hot dog

inside. He loves them and jumped right in.
He looks so cute peeking out the door. I hope he will

keep going in there but as of right now hes laying out

in the yard on the wet grass..Nice dry house and this

cat lays in the yard.. Go figure...
Dutch was sitting so pretty up ontop my microwave

that I decided to take his picture.. He was looking

down, I said to him "Dutch, look at mummy" he lifted

his head and did just that! Penny laughed at him, she

was watching :-) He understands everything I say I

think.. I watched the nicest show on TLC called Cats

101. They had a contest for cutest cat.. It was so cute

to see these animals.. I enjoyed that show more than

any I see on the main channels anymore.

Penny has gotten us all clean and is now making some

toll house cookie squares.. You bake the cookie dough

in a pan.. Good stuff.. As Raife would say, "Chair

shrinkers!"... It is and I DONT care :-)

Time to post, still no word on baby.. I'm still a most

~House For Sale~

Woodie's back

The ramp guys house is up for sale. Theres a

sign hanging out front. Me, being the nosey person

I am I looked online to see how much and how big

it is.. Well its a 3 bedroom, 1.5 baths, and its selling

for $25,000.oo Its not a house, house, its a double

wide trailer. Its got a big yard and the ramp is so

nice..Wonder if they would sell the ramp? :-) I just

might call the realtor and ask.. I will have to wait

till tomorrow cuz I cant read the sign, not even

with my super nocs..Penny can tell me tomorrow,

then I'll find out..
My cold seemed to ease for a few days but today

I have done nothing but sneeze and my nose is

running constantly.. I wonder if I am allergic? Only

thing new is the furnace being on.. Maybe I'm allergic

to heat? Or maybe its the filter is a off brand kind

and it makes me sneeze .. :- ) I doubt that but I

know I'm tired of sneezin....
Squirrley has been by too! :-)

Lots of stuff I'm tired of, like the rashes, sore hips,

and these phantoms I'm really tired of them. To be

honest, I am SUPER tired of being in this chair...I

am so tired of constantly sitting, Ive thought about

prosthetics, and Ive tried weight on my stumps and

I don't think I could handle prosthetics. But the

freedom they give you, not counting just to be able

to stand for just 5 minutes... has to be great.. I think

if I was younger I would seriously consider it..But

at 65, I plan to live for another 20 years but I don't

think I could handle the extra with having them...

Quiet day, Ive not heard from Donnie so I gather we

have no baby yet...I think it will be very soon. Donnie

always goes home for thanksgiving but with his grand

daughter due to be born, he wont leave Kelli...

I have no plans other than to find some food. I may

have spaghetti. I'm still a GORGEOUS WEEBLE

and I will be back ! :-)

~No Plans~

Quiet Saturday and I have no plans to do anything..
I am still having a hard time sitting, it seems to get

better then comes back with a vengence... Its like

a chaffing, a red rash and it is very sore.. I am still

putting that creme on but its like everything else I

have tried... it works for a while and its like I get

immune to it and it stops working. I know I am

sick of all this already....

I'm having left overs you might say, stuff Penny

made for me yesterday.. She made some great

sauce and I may cook up some angel hair pasta

that's my favorite..

My chair for some reason has lost power too fast.

I don't know what the problem is that someone

isnt coming to fix this chair. My power chair is

a Quickie, which is a top of the line powerchair.

According to what ive been told, this chair should

have a yearly maintenance checkup and also the

batteries replaced.,., The arm of this chair, the

right one, which is the one I depend on the most,

is VERY loose. Penny tried to tighten it but all

she did was get the screwdriver stuck and I was

worried I would have a screwdriver sticking out

and I wouldn't be able to go thru a doorway ! She

got it out after a few choice words and some very

strong wiggling and pulling... This chair needs

fixed is all I know..

My sister is home from the hospital and is now

relaxing and getting herself back in shape...She

has very weak heart. The muscles are weak......

She has to be careful..She has Stanley there

and I KNOW he will take excellent care of her.

Plus I know her kids will help out too...I'm glad

shes home...

Time for food and to post this.. I hope you have

~Cookin~

Penny is here and making some spaghetti sauce and

a dish of scalloped potatoes. Its been ages since we

made that. Penny does all the work but its all my

recipes. Its a joint venture and she says she benefits

cuz she gets all these good recipes.. With 5 grown

men to cook for every day she needs all the recipes

she can get.. Shes a very good cook..

I am miserable today, my hips, in fact my whole back

end hurts awful.. I slept terrible, I couldn't get a good

comfy position. My Dr was sposta send in a script

for pain meds for me.. so I called the drug store and

they got the prescription, BUT wont be able to fill it

till next Wednesday... I am most unhappy.They wont

get it in till then..Penny offered to take it to another

pharmacy tomorrow as she has to go anyway, then

she could bring them monday...Its always something.

Ive made it this far a few more days wont make any

difference. But I am in some serious pain, and I

wish it would stop,..

Penny had to fix the top of my desk for me. I heard

something drop during the night, which I know means

Dutch is on the prowl. When I get up in the morning

I look to see what has changed or is on the floor..

He decided to knock some of my brass stuff on the

floor, woke up bored I guess... Penny found it all

and has put it back where it goes...Dutch will do it

again.. I'm go grateful that LittleBoy doesn't do this.

He could care less about stuff he only is concerned

if its something soft to lay on.. :-)

Lunch time for this GORGEOUS WEEBLE.. I hope

~Woodie Is Back~

Woodie is back.. I havent seen him in quite awhile. He

was back and forth over a dozen times after that corn.

He didn't stay still long enough for my camera to focus.
You can see that red head, no other bird I think has

that. He is very distinctive and easy to pick out among

the others.. He and the blue jays did not get along at

all, but they all take turns, they are all very nervous yet

don't stay away cuz one of the cats is out there.
We have a loose dog, well I think hes still puppy. He

is having a good time and trying to stay busy.. Usually

the chocolate and gold lab are out with this black one.

The past few days this black one has been alone. It

could be hes the only one smart enough to escape!

He seems friendly his tail goes constantly and some

times when he runs hes kinda bouncy like its fun.
A meter reader guy was going down the street and

he and the dog spotted each other at the same time.

The meter guy made a fast back track keeping his

eye on the dog that is just standing there wagging

his tail...Finally the meter guy realizes the dog isnt

gonna do anything and he starts back down the

street. The dog does a little bouncy leap and goes

and walks next to the meter guy , having a good time!

My sister phoned yesterday and it was good to talk

to her. We didn't talk long like we usually do but she

had company and had just got home. She is ok but

has to take it easy for awhile.. We will talk again

soon and she will give me all the details..

We are on the countdown to our baby girl. She is due

monday..l got a mail from Kelli she is doing good and

just waiting..as are all of us :-)

Time for lunch and some ham salad..Penny did really

good this time ..its excellent.. So..that means post

time for this and food for this GORGEOUS WEEBLE

~Huge Jay~

Isnt this a big blue jay? Beautiful bird..

Its a nice sunny day and we got a lot done today.

Laundry and Penny went to the store to get a few

things, cat food for one thing, the boys were down

to one can. I usually like to keep a supply, just in

case. I don't get canned food for the outside cats,

they eat people food and they seem to like some

of the coa lunches, I do buy them dry cat food, only

one kind though, my inside boys get 3 different

kinds of food. 1 can, and 2 dry kinds.. Well I don't

like to eat the same thing day after day, so I think

the cats should have a variety too.. :-)

I'm waiting for Gail, I think shes due to come today.

I think she said Wednesday. I'm ok, other than my

hips but I think the hip pain is permanent and I don't

think it will ever go away. I wish it would, cuz some

days, like today, I cant hardly sit still for steady

squirming or moving around in this chair. Some

times I even sit sideways and take turns letting

one of my stumps just hang.. Helps for a little while.

I try to warn everyone to expect me to be steady

moving around in this chair..or they might think I

was crazy or something. :-)

We are having ham salad for lunch..Penny just

ground up the ring bologna and is adding the

mayo and sweet relish and its ready to be spread

on some of those good Keebler Club crackers...

MMM Good stuff.. Wanna come for lunch?

~Short People~

LB & Dutch, laying in the sun..got it rough hey? :-) poor kitties

Travis came today and we had a nice visit. Hes a nice

kid. Id say hes maybe 26 or so..married and has a dog.

We just sit and talk and he asks how everything is going,

how I feel.. He will be back in 3 weeks. He scared Dinky

off when he left... Dinky was afraid of him, maybe cuz

hes such a big guy and hes used to small short people

like Penny and I.

I can tell theres gonna be a weather change.. My hips

are screaming at me today. I just cant seem to find a

good way to sit that doesn't hurt. This is so old. May

be the pain pills will help, I hope so.. I'm so ready to

not have any pain or discomfort..

Dinky and Fuzz were outside waiting for food this

morning even as cold as it was.. There was frost

all over out there. The birds were out in force too,

I bet I counted at least 4 or 5 bluejays. They rule,

the other little birds leave and come back when

theyre gone..The Jays love the corn on the cob,

where the cardinals like the sunflower seeds. I

havent had any sunflower seeds since the flowers,

so Penny got a bag and maybe the cardinals

will come back.... such a busy life on the other

side of the glass..

Lunch time and I dunno what, I think I will see

what Donna brings for lunch. If its nothing good

Ill make some soup or something.. In the mean

time I am still a GORGEOUS WEEBLE and..

~Busy Me~

Gonna be a busy week, I can tell already. Penny is here

then this afternoon Rebecca is coming by. Tomorrow

Travis is due, then Wednesday Gail is coming and

Penny.. Busy hectic week. I prefer quiet.. But I have

no choice. The doctors office nurse called and said

they are over dosing me on my thyroid, so,now I have

to get the new dosage and I just got them filled on

friday. Plus I found out that my vitamin d is sposta

be taken for 6 months, I thought 6 weeks.. I am

getting a new pain pill.... But they have to mail

it to them since its a narcotic. I don't remember

what, something Ive not heard of before..The

pain patch she had me on was recalled. I bet

its why it made me throw up.. I hope I can tolerate

these new ones..

I have been trying to think of stuff for Christmas

and of course I have no clue as to what to get

for everyone... I want to send some things to

my grandson, but its hard to know what a little

boy likes. Penny is a big help she has a grand

son almost the same age as mine..

The birds are happy. Penny got some corn and

sunflower seeds for outside and the birds must

have been watching her put it out cuz they were

all out there just eating up a storm.. I like to see

the birds happy.. The 2 outsider cats were here

this morning I was so glad to see Dinky and Fuzz.

Penny loves Dinky and I wish she could have

him, but she has 11 cats at her house right now.

I am seriously debating to pay to have him

neutered and then I bring him in. If my boys and

Dinky get in a fight it will be fair, they all are

armed and dangerous, but I honestly don't see

them fighting.. at least I hope they wouldnt..Its

possible but.. I just worry WIth this cat being out

side this winter in the cold..

Lunch time and post time, I know what this post

is but I have NO idea about lunch, I left it up to

Penny... I'm doing ok, just the usual GORGEOUS
WEEBLE aches and pains. But that wont stop

me... I'll be back ! :-)

~No Kitties~

Kind of a dark, dreary day today and kinda cool.. The

first thing I do when I roll into the kitchen is go up to

the door, look out, to see who is out there waiting

for breakfast.. Most times Dinky is always there.

When I looked out this morning no one was there

waiting.. This is most unusual and I sure missed

seeing at least Dinky out there and Fuzz and of

course Graybelle, Eary too.. I hope they are ok.

Maybe they got let in by whomever owns them..

I don't think anyone really does, I just keep hoping.

Ill keep watching, their food is waiting for them.

I have no plans for today and I kinda like that.
I bet there are a lot of people wishing they

could say that... Donnie for one.. He is enjoying

having his granddaughter, Kirsten, there tho.

She welcomes him home and is so glad hes there.

She follows him around like a puppy full of

questions.. shes 3.

"whats that Papa, why?, what ya doin? can I help?"

I reminded him of how Kelli used to follow and

do the same thing with Willie, she stuck right

to him like glue. Willie enjoyed it as much

as I know Donnie does... Nothing like a big

hug from a sweet little girl..

I can remember all these great times and some

times I'm glad I can, then there are times when

remembering isnt so great, the walking times,

when I think of how I just took it for granted I

would always walk.. Goes to show you, you

are guaranteed nothing in what they call the

WALK of Life... Its not necessarily a WALK.

Well I'm hungry and I have no idea of what

to have for lunch.. I have lots to choose from,

but I dunno what.. I wont go hungry that's for

sure...So anyhoway..

~Hips Hurt~

There isnt a whole lot to write about today as not much

has happened since yesterday when I posted :-) Penny

left and ive done nothing much.. Well I have been trying

to find a comfortable way to sit. My hips are driving me

nuts, then it radiates pain down to my stumps and no

matter which way I move I cannot get comfortable and

that's enough to drive you nuts.. I don't really know what

to do about hips,.. I should look online just to see if

there is any mention of hip pain. I cant be the only one,

besides Dr Mazei said she has known others, I think

next time I will ask for the cure!

Drs office did phone yesterday and the nurse is going

to find a company to come and fix my chair.. R & R has

gone out of business and the nurse suggested Wright

Fillipus ..which I had trouble with them before. They

sent a man in a wheelchair to TELL me just what kind

of chair HE wanted me to have, not what I wanted.. I

hope they can fix this chair.. This arm rest worries me.

Anyhoway, this is a quiet day, nice one now, but rain

is headed at us.. its raining in Illinois, and headed this

way... I'm still a GORGEOUS WEEBLE...... I'll be back!

~Brooms~

Penny came today and cleaned up the mess in the

laundry room.. I keep the outside cat food in there in

a bag..Dutch has a thing about bags, especially ones

with food in them..He had to get into that bag and he

got food all over in there.. He has 3 bowls of food in

the kitchen, but he had to have this kind....Penny

swept it up I tried, but my broom is not made for me.

I have a regular size broom. It is not made for use by

someone in a chair.... The handle is too long. When

I use it I don't watch where the end of the handle is,

which is not good, cuz I knock stuff down off the

cabinets or counters, Ive knocked stuff off the walls!

Well for someone with legs to use a broom, they

control it by holding on to the end of it..me, I hold

this broom half way down. I have no control over

the top end..Its not a useful thing for me, in fact its

dangerous..

A friend, sent me a whisk broom... It works great. It

doesn't have a handle but its just the right length.. I

cant reach the floor with my fingertips even.. I have

short arms :-) But this little whisk broom is perfect.

Penny couldn't find one around here, mine came

from Illinois :-) It works that's the main thing... :-)

We are having fried cabbage and potatoes today,

with some kolbasa sliced in it... I cant wait for it

to be ready, it smells so good..

Post time and to have some lunch, I'm still a most

~Chargin Time~

This is gonna be short cuz I havta charge my chair. I

usually don't let it get down in the red but it Snuck up

on me and I don't like that, so as soon as I post this

I am off to my room where my charger is. I just stay

in my chair and after making sure its shut off down

in front of the joystick is the charger portal... its round.

I have a very heavy box, the battery charger sitting by

the side of my bed with 2 black cords coming out,

one of course has to be plugged into the wall..Then

the other cord is plugged into my chair.. When I don't

let it get this low I most times charge it when I get

out of it and on my bed for the night. By morning the

light flashes. I will charge it now for a hour or so then

do it again when I go to bed.

My boy came by last night and there you see the cat

house.. He does great work..Even shingled the roof.

He said he put a shelf inside so if 2 cats get in they

each have a spot. When Penny comes tomorrow

she can put a blanket in there. When Donnie went

out the door to leave Graybelle was in it. He was

glad. So was I, but I was hoping Dinky would get

in it too! He was out there ..

I still have my dribbly nose, maybe alergy. I know

I'm tired of it.. My poor nose is red and sore. Other

than that I feel good..Its a quiet day today, its a

holiday, so no lunch. I have leftovers which will

be good, I still have some apple pie too. :-)

Chair charging time, post time and lunch time for

this still most GORGEOUS WEEBLE... But.. I

~Still Dribbly~

2 Jays, almost :-) One tried to escape my camera :-)

I still have my runny dribbly nose and it is so sore, I dread

when I have to wipe it.. Thank God for puffs Kleenex :-) I

am expecting the boy to bring the dog/cat house tonite.

I talked to him yesterday and I guess he has house guests

for awhile.. His step daughter , Amber, hubby and daughter,

Kirsten are staying with him till they find a place. The one

they had caught on fire..Thankfully none of them were hurt.

Kirsten is about 4 or so I think.Ive not seen Amber or

Kirsten for over 2 years..She and Kelli and my ex Willie

came up to visit.. Its been awhile..

Nothing planned for today, Penny is here and got us all

clean. We were pretty good no messes. :-) which is

surprising since the boys have been really acting up

these past few days..Fighting constantly.. LB usually

doesn't start fights, but he has lately .. Dutch is the

instigator most of the time...

We are due to have some nice weather, up in the

60's then cold for the week end...Ive had the door

open and the sun is so warm..The boys fight over

who gets the sunny spot on the table...

Other than a runny nose I feel pretty good.. I still

have a few sore spots, but that's the outcome of

constantly sitting...Id love to stand and just stretch.

That would feel so good.

~Want A Kittie?~

I still have my dribbly runny nose. Its so red and sore I dread\

when I have to wipe it. We are sposta have some nice warm

weather for the next few days, up in the 60's... At least I wont

worry about Dinky... I have been trying to figure a way to do

something about that cat, and I'm not sure yet how to go

about it.. I may call the vet here in town to see what I can do

for Dinky. Penny would take him, but she has 7 babies and

5 adult cats she inheritied when she moved into this new

place, and Penny is an animal lover, like me, so she just

took over all the cats..They are sure enjoying the baby

kitties .. but.. 7 is just too many..Want a kittie? :-)

My sister is still in hospital. She is holding her own..From

what Bev says she has fluid around her heart, which is not

good... I'm sure they can get her on an even keel..Elkhart

hospital has an excellent heart section..Just like Borgess,

that's where Ive gone, but I did have my triple bypass done

in Elkhart... Its a good hospital.. I spent a lot of time in there

when all my stuff started falling apart..meaning of course,

my legs...I had lots of leg bypasses done there too.

They are saying her heart isnt pumping right. They want to

do a stress test... To me these stress tests are only steps

to going straight to the problem and that a heart catherization

is the best and fastest way to determine heart problems..Ive

had stress tests on a treadmill, of course that was before I

lost my legs, then they did one by injection, they give you

something to increase your heart rate while they monitor

you. Ive had the kind of stress test where they put bands

like blood pressure cuffs on your Legs, and see how the

blood flow is from one to the other. After all these kinds

of dinky slow outcome tests then they bring in the big

guns, like a heart cath...Any how I will call her later to

see whats going on. Talking to her will ease my worry.

Id be so lost without my sister...Shes one of a kind :-)

Sis Is Sick~

My sister Shirley is in hospital in Elkhart. I guess

about 11 Saturday nite her blood pressure went

sky high and she was having breathing trouble.
Stan called 911 and they took her and they kept

her,. Bev said hopefully today they are going to

let her come home today.. I hope so.. Bev is

keeping me updated. Plus I will call and talk

to Shirley myself when she gets home...she

will fill me in on every thing....

I have a cold.. My nose is running faster than me.

I look like Rudolph the reindeer my nose is so red.

It runs and dribbles constantly, I wake up at night

just to wipe it.. I guess I waited too long to turn on

the heat and got a chill... and now I have to put up

with this.. always something.

I saw Joyce out on the riding mower and then Carl

got on it..Sure was nice seeing him moving around

so good.. He worried me before, he walked so slow

and seemed to just be wandering..Was nice to see

him today working at his usual pace.. I think he and

Joyce are two of those kinds of people that cant stop.

Donnie and Stanley are two more of those kinds of

people that HAVE to stay busy..When Donnie was

housebound because of his foot he almost went

insane not doing anything...Stanley is the same way,

when hes house bound he almost drives my sister

nuts. I'm glad I'm not that way or I would be totally

crazy by now for as long as Ive been sitting ! :-)

Penny came today and guess what she brought me?

A apple pie !!! I havent tasted it yet, but if its anything

like the last one I KNOW its good! Shes a very good

cook and baker.. She makes some of the best fudge

at Christmas, its wonderful! :-)

I'm out of news for today, I'm still a most GORGEOUS

~Spring Forward...Fall Back~

Time change last night.. My cable box and my laptop,

the time automatically changes.. I usta have trouble

with which way to turn the clocks and even went so

far as to tell my computer it was wrong and changed

the time on that too! Now, I touch nothing, but I know

never to think cable could be wrong... :-) The saying

is "Spring forward, Fall back" I think. :-)
I have no plans for today.. I'm hoping Penny is at

home making apple pies..She is having 2 or 3 of

her grand daughters stay over.. She enjoys the

time with them, specially when she lets them help

her cook... Kelli was the same way when she was

little..

I had Kelli every day while her mom and dad worked..

I guess I should say Willie too.. He loves that girl too...

While I was getting things ready for supper, Kelli

would follow me around, steady asking questions as

to what exactly was I doing.... I had a chair that was

high with steps that lifted out.. I still have it...As little

as Kelli was, she dragged that bench all over the

kitchen so she could see just what I was doing..

She was next to me one day while I was peeling

potatoes to make the mashed kind that she liked.

Kelli got all quiet, I felt her put her little hand (she

was about 3) on my arm...I looked down into her

serious face and Kelli said "Gran, some day, I

gonna be a good cooker, just like you." I had

to smile, I told her to just keep watching Gran,

and she would be... And, she is a very good cook

to this day! :-)

I have no plans for today and no idea what I am gonna

make for Sunday dinner. I always find something ! I

have lots of stuff in the freezer I can make..I wont

starve.. I'm still a GORGEOUS WEEBLE, and ! I

will be back ! Happy Sunday!

Birdhouse Fights~~

Its a pretty day outside today.. I was sitting at the

table having coffee and watching the birds.. I was

surprised at how many were out there, I know Dinky

was out there..I think he lives here now.. The birds

seem to have gotten use to him, he doesn't go after

them at all..I did see him stalk and try to run down

a squirrel though..Dinky kept the squirrel away from

the bird seed...The birds now are acting like they

all want the birdhouses...
I bet I sat for an hour watching birds trying to get in

side one of them...They seemed to be too big, that's

what I thought at first, but then I saw them go inside.
The single house I saw 3 birds each try to get inside,

then they would fly down to the bird seed and back..

Maybe they are storing food in there, just in case...

Its sposta be a bad winter...That's why I worry about

Dinky.. If it goes below zero where is that cat gonna

go? Even if I get the cat house, I don't think even

that would be warm enough.. I wish I could let him

inside..But its just not possible..I don't think I wanna

have to break up cat fights...

LB and Dutch, lately have been fighting a lot.. LB is

back with his Stuffed cat again too.. Hes dragging her

around and yes, hes diddling that stuffed cat... For a

long itme hes not bothered with her, and now the past

couple weeks hes back with her again... I have NO

idea what his problem is. But as bad as these 2 are

getting along, there is no way I can bring another cat

in here...They hissed and spit at that baby that Penny

brought here...But I worry about Dinky...Hes such a

beautiful loving cat....

Well I am in need of lunch, I don't know what I'm gonna

have...The chops and dressing was so good, I will have

the leftovers of that later, right now, some toast sounds

good with butter, cinnamon and sugar.. :-) I'm still a

most GORGEOUS WEEBLE and I'll be back ! Hope

Snow flurries are predicted..Winter is on the way. Its been

a nice fall though, the trees out did themselves. Having those

couple days of high winds sure took the leaves off the trees.

Made it a faster process. I know Joyce has got to be tired

of them by now.. This town has tons of trees...which makes

it really nice but lots of work in the fall.. :-)

Penny came today and got us all clean and ready for the

week end.. We havent been too sloppy although Dutch

and LB had been playing and knocked over a bag of

cat food. I tried but I couldn't get to it, it was in the laundry

room. She just had to move a few things and sweep. I

tried to get the cats to clean it up, but they didn't care..

I had hoped theyd eat it,,, :-)

Nothing else planned for the day. I got all my bills paid

and sent out..Usually if I get any mail on Friday its bills

or some crap that ruins my week end... And since my

bills are paid I don't expect any mail from BILL~!~I like

good mail ... :-)

We are having pork chops and dressing today. It

smells so good. Wanna come have lunch? I will

share... So anyhoway, I am Still a GORGEOUS

WEEBLE, and I will be back ! Happy Week end!

~Doc Was Here~

My doctor was here and gone by 11... I am fine. My

blood pressure was a little off but not bad.... She is

going to call in a refil for this creme.. and I told her

that my chair needs fixed..She, or the office have to

call R & R and tell them that its doctor approved

maintence.. Why they do it that way I have no idea,

its all paid for by medicare or caid, one of them. I

would think they would keep records..That's where

I got this power chair from them. They don't keep

up on their customers..They should..

The nurse drew blood AGAIN, I was not expecting

that..It hurt this time... Usually its not too bad...the

only place they can draw me is at the base of my

thumb.. Most times it doesn't hurt there..today it

did and its already bruised... Oh well its done and

hopefully I wont have to have another for awhile..

She is checking my cholesterol and thyroid..

Anyhoway, I am gonna make some blankets for my

new great granddaughter. I sent Kelli an email to thank

her for the photos of Alex in his costume and I asked

if she needed anything...Blankets is all..I have lots of

flannel and can make a few..its easy to do..I told Kelli

that Penny is knitting some booties too... Not much

longer and baby will be here... We are all patiently

waiting... :-)


What I'm waiting for right now is for my calico beans

to warm up as that's what I'm having for lunch! They

are so good.. After that I'm gonna go and dig thru

material.. I enjoy that.. :-) I'm still a GORGEOUS
WEEBLE , ask my doctor... AND I will be back!

~No Gail~

I thought Gail was coming today but its 11 already and Ive

not heard from her,,,yet,,, She will call first.. I did get a call

from Dr Mazei's office and the Dr will be here tomorrow. I

feel good so this Dr visit shouldn't be too bad... I don't like

to see a Dr when I feel good but I have no choice, I'm just

so glad my Dr is a woman...I prefer that...plus shes really

nice too..doesn't hurry and will talk to you...That means

a lot, that its not all business...

Penny is making some of the calico beans today..They

smell so good.. She will take some home for herself too.

They are a whole meal with the meat and bacon and

the 3 kinds of beans.. A little salad on the side would

be good too..

We have rain forecast for the next few days. I sure can

tell.. My left stump has been really sore lately. On the

outer side, there is a spot that really hurts if I touch

it...I plan to ask the Dr about it..Why it hurts I have

no idea but it sure does and only on that outer side.

The scar on that stump steady acts up and I have

to keep a close eye on it so it doesn't get out of

hand...I sure wouldn't want that back...

Time to taste some of these beans, and to post

this..I'm still a GORGEOUS WEEBLE and I WILL

I don't have a whole lot to write about today. Ive been

doing a lot of thinking about whats ahead...Of course

I have no idea and in a way I'm glad I dont know..cuz

if I did and it was something bad I knew was coming,

the good days I might have had before it would have

been full of worry and fear of what was coming..no, I

don't wanna know..Surprise me is what I think...some

times its best not to know whats in your future and

just keep looking up and pray for the best... :-)

I am expecting my nurse today, I feel pretty good, so
I don't think she will find anything wrong...That rash I

had is almost gone, I'm glad she thought of that cream,

its worked good... I may need a new blood pressure

cuff, mine is just refusing to work.. I don't know who \

got me that one, or who I ask for a new one..Probly

Joanne, shes looking for a side rail for me now.. And

that is something I really need.. Its getting harder and

harder to sit up... That will help, and If I have to choose,

I need the side rail more than the BP thing..

I have some phone calls to make so I am posting this

for today..I need to get some maintenance done on this

chair...I'm still a GORGEOUS WEEBLE..and of course

I'll be back ! :-)

~Winter's Coming~

This is gonna be short today as I have a ton of

stuff to do and I have to do it while Penny is here.

Stuff outside that I cant do... I know Donnie would

fix my yard for me but he is just too busy...So

Penny is doing it for me..Just bringing in pots

and just getting it clear for winter...And as cold

as it is today its not far off...

Were making Cornish hen and dressing today.

Its just a very small chicken. Tasty and very moist.

We made some stove top cornbread dressing

and put it inside and around the little hen..Bake

for about an hour or so..as small as those birds

are they don't take long to cook.. The cornbread

dressing is the best one of all of the varieties

they have of Stove Top..It tastes like homemade.

Its time to get some more done, Penny leaves

at 12:30 to go to her other client, Mickey...She

does a lot for her too...

Anyhoway, time to post and get on with this day.

I feel pretty good today and I am still a most
